Sight seeing at Walden Galleria

Yesterday I went to the Walden Galleria mall (in Buffalo) and saw some interesting things.  I had an interview with Forever 21, but it was impossible to leave without popping into a few stores.. the result? This blog post.

I saw pink eyeliner.

I have mixed feelings about pink eyeliner.  I really like the color, but I’m not sure what it does to the eyes?  Emphasize veins?  I’ve been hunting for a pink eyeliner, now that I’ve found one at Sephora, now I might understand why the color is hard to find.

I saw impossible to wash rhinestone studded tops.

I’m not one for buying clothes out of practicality, but COME ON.  I saw so many rhinestone studded necklines on tops today, and I have no idea how you could wash them.  Even if I decided to go at it by hand (LOL) they would become damaged.

I saw lots of wedge sneakers.

Nobody can convince me that combining wedges and sneakers is a good thing.  Wedges are worn for height and sneakers are worn for comfort.  They are two separate animals!  I am anti-wedge sneakers.  Barf me. Literal trend vomit.

I saw an indigo denim jacket. (and now I want it)

Both Loft and The Limited had very cute dark denim jackets.  I had a faded denim crop jacket in like 7th grade and it was so ugly that it ruined denim jackets for a really long time… but I can already see how cute and essential an indigo denim jacket will be this fall so I need one. Obviously.

I saw the perfect black leather pumps.

I don’t own the perfect pair of black leather heels. THERE. I SAID IT.  I don’t know why I haven’t invested money into a quality pair, but I need to.  And I saw ones that might have passed the test at Banana Republic.. but I didn’t try them on.  I wasn’t in the mood to spend $$$.

When I wasn’t sight seeing, I was shopping of course. I bought 2 pairs of ankle pants from The Limited.  They were only $10 a pair!!  It’s hard to be thrifty at Walden Galleria because it’s so big and there are so many tempting options.  I paid more in gas to get to and from the mall and I found out the Visual Merchandising Position was already taken at Forever 21 so if it weren’t for my awesome deal the trip would have been somewhat of a waste.

What “sights do you see” at the mall?

The 5 oclock news thanks to yours truly

It’s big, typically safe -even though people make jokes about their law enforcement,  and for some like me a home away from home…

The mall.

And my local one? Has been threatened as the “next colorado event”.

WHAAAAT is the world coming to?!

I didn’t go shopping today because of crazy rumor spreading people. I went to the movies, and that may have more in common with the Aurora, Colorado incident than my innocent 4 wing mall.

Absolutely insane.

Want to know more about screwed up central new york? 120,00+ different versions of drugs were confiscated from a local headshop. Yea, in the middle of nowhere people still want to eat your face off. Or see if they’re capable of wacky things like that.

Not bad enough?

Tornado and thunderstorm watches and warnings are all over.

That’s your 5 oclock news from me. Nothing fashion related, I’m in yoga pants and a tank top.

But my brother got a haircut.

And I went to go see Brave the PG cartoon movie.

YAYYYYYY for an exciting life.

Pink money.

Mmm. 🙂

Good afternoon bloggers and blogettes, I’m eating lunch as we “speak”. Today has been hardly as eventful as yesterday, but that’s okay! These white cheese and garlic noodles are perfectly non-eventful and delicious. It looks similar to what is shown below, but don’t expect too much.. I am the girl that messed up easy mac.

Anyways, I’m wearing a pink dress I purchased in Atlanta, with a black and white polka dotted floral belt, black ruche sleeved cardigan and sequin flats.

Haha :). Anyways, I was told by the lady at Fastrac this morning I looked snazzy.. so hopefully thats a good thing! And there was a semi-cute guy at the college that said he liked my dress, so maybe it was a good purchase. I like it.

Sadly, there’s not much on the agenda today, which is completely out of the ordinary. I have no where to show off my dress, I might actually exchange it for athletic shorts and walk on the trail by the canal to burn off some of those noodles. My hours after this week at KMart have been severely cut so I can’t even waste my time online shopping. I have like 100 dollars to my name, and I’m supposed to get used to under 300 for the next 2 weeks? And go to the outlets? And go to the Carousel mall?

That’s a joke.

I supposed I should fill out more scholarships..

For college, not shopping. It’s so hard to get scholarships in fashion for merchandising and now design.

It’s so boring and feels like it’s really for nothing because I’ve heard nothing back.. but if I want these insanely expensive schools I need to try something.  I wish I could raise money showing tours of my wardrobe. It would be a total win-win situation.

How am I expected to save money to have functional and fashionable wardrobe, while saving for college and a vespa?

These summer jobs are going to come in handy, but I can’t even win the lottery because I’m 17…

I need to start planning fun stuff for the summer. Since I’ve done Boston and Atlanta, I really don’t have any big plans. Maybe a concert?

I WANT TO GO TO MALL OF AMERICA.

Always have wanted to.. but something tells me I won’t be getting there via vespa. And even if it gets fabulous gas mileage, I’d spend all of my money getting there instead of living it up when I am there.

If anyone has a spare thousand dollars they’re just looking to get rid of? Let me know.

I can surely take it off your hands.

Xoxo,

Allison
