Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together

I’m not sure where to begin, a lot of great things have been happening. This weekend was spent shopping, living at my grandparents house with my cousin (unsupervised, we were practically adults :O), and sleeping in.  I got a pedicure, crab legs, a maxi dress, and gorgeous weather.

On friday, I found out about my grades too!

I didn’t end up attending the HCCC graduation, my diploma will come in the mail..

I was a little bummed about this originally, but honestly who wants to sit in a horrific green graduation gown even if it is made out of recycled water bottles?

I got my fill of sitting in one place for a few hours at my brother’s confirmation Sunday anyways.

So, back to my grades:

I know that some debby downers (or just creepy ex-friends that read my blog) are going to say that “le duh, you should have a 4.0, Allison.  This is Community College”

But I don’t care what you think.

I earned that grade, and you didn’t.

I was dancing around the house celebrating when I received even more good news!

My parents were annoyed because I was supposed to be packing to go to my grandparents for this weekend and I have the attention span of that dog from Up…

So the second dose of good news was that I got the Rent the Runway internship for 2013-2014!!!

I don’t know if it’s the blogger spot yet, but fingers crossed it will be.

I was on cloud 9 finding out such great news.

I just came back from a job interview in a cute dress so I was obviously twirling all over the place.

And as a curvy, more to love, in between, plus sized, well endowed woman I get this thing I like to refer to as “thigh chub rub” (chafing)

But, not anymore.

I was dancing without bumps or discomfort, I was wearing bandelettes.

Bandelettes are elastic lace that cover that area of your thigh you wish had more of a gap.

No rash, no pain: just a sexy inexpensive undergarment that allowed me to soak up the 70 degree weather and wear dresses all weekend!

Once the weekend was over and I came home: I changed into my informal attire.  I wore a t-shirt and gym shorts, watched a few episodes of Law and Order while eating ice cream.  I was all smiles.

I decided to check out the FIT page, I honestly cannot stop daydreaming about my future.

I was removed from the wait-list, and do not have to deal with sharing a bathroom with a hall full of girls.  I HAVE A KITCHEN.

I am basically on cloud nine, there you have it.

I don’t have a job, I have so much more.  I am a true believer in the Marilyn Monroe quote “Sometimes things fall apart so that better things can fall together”
