8 days until America

The absolutely crazy thing about studying abroad is how quickly the time flies by. Sure, there were times when I was wishing I was home (Thanksgiving for example), but it never lasted long and now I’m savoring these last 8 days.  As the essays pile up, and I try to squeeze an obnoxious amount of stuff I have accumulated into 2 suitcases, I remind myself not to stress. I have had the opportunity of a lifetime. 3 months, in a foreign country, with some of the most amazing people, from all over the world.

Last weekend I went to Paris and made even more memories. At age 20, I could not have predicted that I would be able to see so many different cultures and experience so many great shopping locations (lol).

December 13th is going to be a difficult day. I’m going to say goodbye to people I love, to go see more people I love. I’m ready for the land of polar vortexes and Wegmans Subs, but I’m not wishing my last 8 days away either.

Studying abroad was one of the most impulsive decisions I have ever made. It was also one of the best.
