During the past few years, the phrase “Keep Calm and Carry On” has become extremely popular. Whether it was on posters, t shirts, or various forms of home decor, you can see KCCO everywhere, and this isn’t the first time. Did you know that the slogan “Keep Calm and Carry On” is more than 50 years old? After learning some background information on the quote, I like it a lot more. I have to wonder whenever I see other people with KCCO items, do they know the story behind the words? I bought a tote in Atlanta educating myself on “Keep Calm and Carry On” and I suggest taking 3 minutes to watch the following video, because I find it encouraging and inspiring.

I was reminded of the history of this quote when I was looking for a Keep Calm and Prep On poster for my apartment. I also want a Keep Calm and Blog On poster. These are ridiculously hard to find for some reason, but if you are in a similar position to myself I suggest Etsy or Zazzle.
So why would I want “Keep Calm and Prep On” to be hanging on my wall?
As a daily reminder that whenever I’m stressed and need to “Keep Calm” there are a few things I can do:
1) Put the Ingrid Michealson/Vitamin String Quartet station on Pandora. Her music is calm, and inspiring.
2) Sip tea. If it’s bedtime, I specifically turn to sleepy time tea :).
3) Try on a fancy dress for no apparent reason. With pearls too of course!
4) Pray. God is “prepping” me for whatever challenges lie ahead.
5) If the British could raise the morale of their people with similar posters, this can make you happy too.
How do you “Keep Calm and Prep On”?
