A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon Fabulous Finds Boutique on Instagram. Once a prep discovers such an amazing store there is NO turning back. Located in Fayetteville, NC I would LOVE to see the brick and morter store -but that’s a bit of a hike from NY even if the apparel is adorable. This store was nice enough to show some southern hospitality and ship me a top. Their e-tail site is a wonderful substitute for the real thing, and I recommend finding them on other forms of social media. You’ll find yourself constantly in love with their products. They have a wide array of tops, bottoms, dresses, and accessories at a variety of price points. Quite honestly, the hardest part about ordering may be deciding what to pick. Obviously, when given the opportunity to review such a fantastic brand, I didn’t hesitate.
The Lauren James USA Anchor Tank in Navy White
This top is totally appropriate for a 4th of July cook out. It ran larger than I anticipated, but works perfectly as a swimsuit cover up. As you can see, there are deeper arm holes in this boyfriend style, but that’s what makes it even more perfect for layering with a lacy red or navy bandeau. I plan on buying one ASAP.
You can find this top on the Fabulous Finds Boutique site here. I am wearing a size Large, but probably could have gone with a medium… it depends the look you are going for. One of the benefits to ordering a larger style is that during the cooler weather, I can wear this top ike a tunic, with a navy cardigan (Lord knows I have too many from working at Coach!), grey ponte pant leggings, and my favorite red satin ballet flats.
I love the way my “Red, Red, Red” Clinique lipstick brings out the red stripes in my shirt. I am currently contemplating cutting up the sides of this top and tying them with red ribbons because I love the color so much! I would describe this top as being a casual patriotic look with a dash of nautical. My make-up and bow headband dress it up a little more; I also suggest adding pearls and wedges.
I was lucky enough to find a pair already in my wardrobe that look simply devine! I don’t blame you at all if you mimic this 4th of July look. Go for it!
